I am Pastor Emery Nzamuye! I felt an incredible call to serve Jesus Christ back in 2004, and I joyfully got baptized at just 14! Life in Africa was challenging, especially during the war in the Democratic Republic of Congo in 1996, which led me to be a refugee in Uganda for 20 years. But in 2016, I was blessed with the opportunity to move to the USA through the UNHCR  and the IOM! I arrived in Boise, Idaho, in 2017, and by 2018, God inspired me to start a church. Thus, Comfort Missionary Baptist Church was born in Louisville, Kentucky, in 2019, starting as a little Bible study in my living room with just four people at my apartment. As we grew, we moved to a friend's basement, but soon we needed more space! Thanks to the amazing support from Sojourn Church Carlisle and the Kentucky Baptist Convention, we found a amazing place to worship in Louisville, KY. Now, as of 2024, we have five branches of Comfort Missionary Baptist Church in the U.S. and four more in Africa! My mission is to reach those called by God and share His message with those who don’t yet know Him. Together with you, we are working to find solutions for places of worship for believers. I couldn’t do any of this without your incredible support, both financially and, most importantly, in prayer!
